The Shops At Riverside has received Silver in the Retail Renovations category at the 2022 Global Design & Development Awards. The award competition recognizes excellence in design and innovation around the world and features a host of projects. Winners were announced this past week during the ICSC+CENTERBUILD conference, which took place in Phoenix, Arizona.

Tasked with transforming a 40-year-old property into a modern luxury retail center, designers developed a space that reflects a high-end contemporary atmosphere befitting its Bergen County home. Utilizing extensive research into the location and demographic profile, the renovation possesses an architectural character of modern heritage that unites the project. The interior renovation and a new building housing the grand entrance and iconic luxury court share a common language, creating a continuous luxury experience through each building and across the site.
